High tensile steel has up to twice the strength of mild steel which can mean a world of difference in unfavorable anchoring conditions. The hinged shank design means the North Star anchor delivers consistent setting and holding even in the worst conditions, no matter the change in wind and/or current. The plow/CQR style anchor is hurricane tested and proven!
Persistent Performance in All Conditions Unlike other anchors, the North Star plow style anchor provides immense holding power in nearly any condition including sand, pebble, rock, grass, kelp, and coral. The shank hinge rotates horizontally to prevent breakout due to wind shifts and also allows the anchor to stay set in the worst conditions.
